Welcome to Remote Display Protocol Check.COM. This is a new idea I have to do a completely independent protocol “smack down” between the 5 main remoting protocols; being ICA, RDP, EOP, ALP and PCoIP. Specific tests and WAN emulation will be used to demonstrate the pro’s and con’s of the different protocols under certain bandwidth and latency conditions. These tests will show how the usability and user experience can be enhanced by making the right choice. The plan is to also demonstrate the benefits that WAN Optimisation and Prioritisation products provide. The goal is to make this similar to what Project Virtual Reality Check does for the Hypervisor market/community.
